Dolphin Cash came out as the second Dolphin-themed game from Playtech. The first one was of course Dolphin Reef, my favourite game until now. I played Dolphin Cash when it was newly released some years ago, but found the game not as interesting nor as good as Dolphin Reef. Why? Well, I really had a tough time trying to get a Free Spins game! My first few plays on it couldn't even trigger one lousy Free Spins game, only getting those Bonus games that paid poorly and miserably! Only on my most recent play did I finally get a decent win from the free spins, but even so, the payouts were nothing like those from Dolphin Reef!

Dolphin Cash plays with a fixed 30 paylines, which is certainly not to my liking at all. I hate all fixed paylines games, except for games having 243 or more ways to win. There is also an 'XtraWin' feature that clones one more Wild for each appearing Wild symbol on reel 5, but costing 50% extra for each spin using it. I find this a gimmick more than anything else, because it does nothing more than just to clone one Wild symbol to double the winning chances, but wasting all that extra 50% bets on every other spin! The Shifting Wild symbol only appears on reel 5, and the extra cloned Wild symbol would appear either above or below it on the same reel. These Wild symbols then shifts one position to the left with each spin, just as in Jack And The Beanstalk game. Up to 5 Wild symbols can appear consecutively, one at a time, so there's a possibility of having 10 Wild symbols on the reels for just one spin, but don't count on getting it easily! The most that I could get after many plays on this game was only 6 Wilds, but not all side by side, so the winning chances were broken up. Never had any good big wins from these Shifting Wilds either!

The Bonus game, triggered by getting the non-paying Bonus symbols on both reels 1 and 5, would more frequently than the Free Spins game, like in a 10:1 ratio, and this actually sucks! Why? Because that jumping dolphin could never get any wins bigger than 10x the staked amount! Most of the time the win would just be 4x or 5x! Very disappointing bonus games! The Free Spins game, on the other hand, triggered by getting 3 or more of those Coin Scatter symbols, awards only 12 free spins with a 3x multiplier, and cannot be retriggered! These Free Spins games were damn hard to get, andined with those poor-paying Bonus games, Dolphin Cash bs a rather dull and uninteresting game to play! It even made me sleepy on some occasions!

Yes, no doubt that getting those 10 Wilds on the reels would give a nice big win, especially with the 3x multiplier during the free spins, but that would only happen once in a lifetime. I would prefer an Expanded Wild Reels feature, as in Dolphin Reef, anytime, for more frequent and regular smaller wins! Dolphin Cash is a boring game to me!
