The Temple is the Wild symbol, 5 of which pays 6000x the line bet, and substitutes for other symbols except for the Scatter symbol. It doesn't do anything else, like doubling of wins, stacking or expanding, so it's a dumb Wild symbol in my book. There are numerous of this kind of Wild symbol, in so many other games, which I don't like at all, simply because it reduces the chances of winnings. The Archway is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pays the usual 100x the total bet, and getting 3 or more of them triggers 15 free spins with all wins tripled, and can be retriggered. Yes, that's nice. The Headgear pays 3000x, the Necklace pays 1000x, the Frog pays 500x, the Buds pay 500x too, and the rest pay from 250x to 100x, all per line bet for 5 of each kind. An average paytable, but is slightly on the higher side. That should be fairly good for payouts in this game.
I have never played this City Of Gold game before, but I was anxious to give it a good run over, to see how it would play and pay. After a few thousand spins, I like the game's behaviour and patterns, and finally played it with real money. As expected, a real money game is always never the same as playing with fun money, and this game was no exception, but the game played well enough, unlike some games that would make a discernable turnaround from its fun play behaviour. Some games would even play drastically differently!
Well, with just one deposit, this game gave me a good play time. My balance would go yo-yo like for awhile, with ups and downs, but I managed to catch those few Free Spins games with bigger bets, and getting back whatever credits it had eaten before that. The Free Spins game started with a low 18x total bet win, then it went up to 58x on the second game, but back down again to 23x on the third game. The fourth Free Spins game paid me a nice 51x win, and with that, I decided to quit playing it while still ahead. Yep, I had won a bit, not much, but winning something was all that mattered to me. City Of Gold is one game I may back to play again later on.
